It may be your or your loved ones wish that there is only a single family spray of flowers or no flowers at all.
In this case it is common for donations to be collected in lieu of flowers or in memory of their loved one.
Donations can be made by Cheque, Online or Cash
(please do not send cash by post, cash can be handed into our office)
Cheques should be made payable to ‘McClure’s Donation Account’ – Please include details of who the donation is in memory of when sending a donation by post. Once the donations are collected, normally after 6/8 weeks, they will be forwarded to the charity and a letter detailing the donations sent to the family (if you would like your donation to remain anonymous, please let us know).
Donations by cheque must be in Pounds Sterling
If we receive a Euro cheque this will be lodged into our donation account and your bank (the paying bank) and our bank will take fees for payment. This will reduce the amount substantially paid to the charity. (Recent example 30 euro cheque paid – after fees charity received £6!)
Donations can be made by bank transfer directly to our Donations Account – The reference on the payment should ONLY be the persons name that the donation is in memory of (if you make a bank transfer please send us an email or call us to let us know it has been made) – If the reference does not include the name of the deceased or if you do not contact us regarding the payment we cannot allocate the donation to the correct person. If this happens we have no way of contacting you and will have to donate the donation to a charity of our choice.
Donations can be made by card via this link – Donation By Card – Please note: a fee is payable to the card processing company for card payments made for donations – the donations page will show this amount and allow you to either pay this or not – McClure’s Funeral Service do not charge any fees for the administration of donations.
Below are some of the charities our families have chosen to support in this way.
